HELSINQI
HELSINQI brings together Portland progressive with European flair. As creatives we’re obsessed with global currents in art, design and culture, language & philosophy. We believe in slow food, fast friends, high style and low pretense.
We also believe in social and environmental responsibility without the sanctimony. It’s time for virtue to take off the gloves and grow a sense of humor.
As an agency we’re obsessed with our clients, and the awe-inspiring power of brilliant communications to keep them relevant in discerning markets and competitive in tumultuous times.
But the key to the whole deal is relationships. Our clients tell us we’re ahead of the curve there. The feedback we get is manifesto material:
- We hold ourselves to exceptional standards.
- We check our egos at the door.
- We really listen.
For real. Ask our clients!
Leo Daedalus
Principal / Creative Director Leo Daedalus is a natural creative leader with 2+ decades' experience in entrepreneurial creative communications across diverse media: writing, visual/graphic design, video, music, digital media and beyond.
Leo is an avid connector of ideas, a creative adventurer who integrates big-vision lateral thinking with critical analysis. He holds a degree in computer science from the University of Washington, 2003.
A polyglot and skilled communicator, Leo is also a connector of people, consistently taking the role of bridge between people of different cultures, languages and disciplines. Brought up bilingual in Lausanne and Seattle, he counts seven languages in his repertoire (some rustier than others). He is passionate about travel and culture, art and design, intercultural dynamics and communication.
Anna Daedalus
Principal / Co-Director Anna Daedalus is a tenacious producer and planner, project manager, and an account executive with an uncommon gift for listening. She is also an insightful visual artist, creative photographer, performer and writer/editor. Anna works closely with Leo on all aspects of client work, complementing his big vision and executive precision with an astute pragmatism, an unerring critical eye, and a rigorous talent for getting things done right and on time.
Trained in ballet and degreed in Spanish literature (Reed '93), Anna traded in her toe shoes for an SLR but kept her equilibrium and poise. She combines keen sensitivity with dedication and perseverance.
Having lived in Barcelona, Anna too is multilingual and passionate about travel, cultures, art, art history and design. Off-hours you'll find her in the yoga studio and, especially, the garden.
