HELSINQI
Founded in the people's republic of Portland in 2007, HELSINQI is a natural extension of principals Leo & Anna Daedalus's professional experience and their abiding passion to make a meaningful contribution not only to their clients’ success, but to a sustainable and equitable future.
HELSINQI is a very 21st-century, very Portland virtual agency. We draw on the expertise of our established and growing cadre of associates and strategic partners to assemble the perfect team for each client and each project. Our lean and agile model lets us do tremendous work very efficiently — exceptionally so by industry standards.
Best of all, it keeps us closely involved with our clients. They frequently tell us we really listen, we check our egos at the door, and we're always there for our clients. But don't take our word for it — ask them!
Leo Daedalus
Founder-Director Leo Daedalus is a creative communications professional with 2+ decades of experience in graphic design, writing, video, music, digital media, and leadership of ambitious creative enterprises — giving him an uncommon, 360º perspective on clients’ creative marketing needs and solutions.
A visionary lateral thinker, Leo integrates a holistic view with rigor and precision. An erstwhile Reedie, he holds a computer science degree from the University of Washington.
Brought up bilingual in Lausanne and Seattle, Leo is passionate about languages, with seven at last count, at various levels of usability.
Anna Daedalus
Co-Owner-Director Anna Daedalus is a tenacious producer and planner with creative roots in visual art, photography, and writing — and a background in program direction and management. A gifted listener, Anna integrates deep understanding of client needs with organizational rigor to keep everyone’s trains running on time and on track.
Trained in ballet and degreed in Spanish literature (Reed '93), Anna combines sensitivity with conviction and perseverance.
She too is multilingual, but her personal passion is the garden, which is where you’ll find her off-hours.
